RELAY FOR LIFE 2008

relayLogo RELAY FOR LIFE 2008 Members of the Progressive Builders Team participated in The Relay for Life which took place on April 18-19, 2008 at the Lee County Sports Complex in Ft. Myers, Florida. With the event’s slogan being “Cancer is not a game”, Progressive Builders raised over $8,522.86 dollars to help the fight against cancer. We are still receiving donations until July 31, 2008. “It’s great to see how businesses are understanding the role that private organizations have in meeting community needs and the importance of corporate giving” said Michael Spreckelmeier, owner of Progressive Builders, who has always tried to be involved in the community by donating his time and being a part of events like this one. The Relay for Life charity, which was founded 21 years ago, has now more than 3 million Americans participating nationwide. The American Cancer Society asks groups of participants to gather at schools, fairgrounds and parks and run/walk laps in order to raise money for Cancer research.
